Homelift maintenance

Repairing vs replacing a homelift

In the unlikely event that you encounter faults with your homelift, you may question whether to repair or replace it. Your homelift should have a reasonable lifespan, so when it is still relatively young (less than 10 years), it is generally recommended that repairs be sought. However, in the unlikely event that you encounter a high frequency of breakdowns or issues, replacement may be preferable for both safety and cost savings in the long run. Your manufacturer should be able to reassure you and offer the right course of action for your personal circumstances, alongside a high level of customer service to satisfy either repair or replacement.

Preventative maintenance tips

The best way to prevent any major issues arising with your homelift is to ensure you have a certified technician conduct an inspection and service on an annual basis. Regular wear and tear is expected, although keeping on top of this and replacing any visible worn parts will also help to prevent any future problems with your homelift.
